I have been photographing Scotland’s landscape, including mountains, lochs and seascape scenery, for several years now and love every minute of it. As well as landscapes I also love to photograph birds and wildlife and love shooting night scenes as well.
I like my images to look as natural as possible (as shot) and so, I keep post processing to a minimum and never try to make them look something they were not to start with. In other words, if I can’t do it in camera, then it’s not worth doing at all, in my opinion. I do, however use filters and these include ND neutral density, GND graduated density and a polarising filter to allow me longer exposures in daylight and to capture silky smooth water etc.
I currently use a Canon 5d MKII for all my landscape work and I also use a Canon 50d for everything else I shoot. A full list of all the equipment I use can be seen here
